FRIDAY FILM CLUB

MOONRISE KINGDOM
WES ANDERSON
2012

The latest film from the genius man Wes Anderson is MOONRISE KINGDOM - and jeepers creepers i could not have loved it more. I think it is his most complete film yet, with the attention to detail as you would expect it to be - at mind blowing levels. Even the end credits are worth seeing in their own right.. I think he's been watching a lot of The Wicker Man (original) and when you watch it you'll know what i mean! The soundtrack is amazing as always, I particularly liked 'The young person's guide to the orchestra' (below), which sums up this films ability to treat children as rounded individuals with actual brains!
The story is beautifully told and the colours/scenery/music/costumes/characters/etc are aces.
can i climb in to Wes Anderson's mind now please? great, thanks, bye!
