Nearly finished reading 'The Fountainhead', in which the architect Howard Roark is supposedly based on Frank Lloyd Wright. In the book one of the projects he works on is the creation of a holiday village where the homes are all individual units which become part of the valley, slotted into the hillsides rather than flattening out the land to create one huge complex. I love how Wright's architecture becomes part of the surroundings, almost unassumingly, creating unity between the building & nature.
